Frederic Township – Zoning Ordinance Amendment

The Frederic Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to recommend adoption of Ordinance 1 of 2024 – an amendment to the zoning ordinance – to the Township Board.  The public hearing will be held at the Frederic Township Hall at 6470 Manistee Street, Frederic, Michigan on August 26, 2024, at 10 am. Written comments may be sent to the following address prior to the public hearing: P.O. Box 78, Frederic, MI 49733. The public may appear at the public hearing in person or by counsel.  The full text of the amendment is available at the township hall or online at https://www.frederictownship.org/. A summary of the amendments is as follows: Amend Sections 4.08, 4.09, 4.11, 4.13, 4.14, and 4.16 to lower the total structure minimum square footage per dwelling unit from 800 square feet to 400 square feet and to eliminate the ground floor structure minimum square footage requirement.
